Organizational Structure

The PCI Security Standards Council is led by a policy-setting Executive Committee, composed of representatives from the five founding global payment brands. Click on the Executive Committee box in the chart below to see its members.

Operational decisions are made by the Management Committee, whose members also come from the payment brands. To view the members, click on the Management Committee box below.

Day-to-day activities are overseen by the General Manager and carried out by professional staff members; click on the Executive Staff box below for information.

A Board of Advisors, drawn from Participating Organizations, provides input to the organization and feedback on the evolution of the PCI Data Security Standard.

The Marketing Working Group, Technical Working Group, and Legal Committee, all of whose participants are drawn from the payment brands, deal with these respective activities.
